Vessel Details:
• A 30m private motor yacht is currently seeking an experienced Chef to join the vessel ASAP in the Med!
• Currently in Gibraltar, the yacht will head to the Cannes Yachting Festival before continuing to Greece for an owner trip. She will remain Mediterranean-based until October 2027, before being shipped to the USA for an exciting three-year programme exploring the Bahamas and surrounding cruising grounds.
• The owners are a large and active family with four adult children and grandchildren, meaning trips can vary considerably depending on which members of the family are onboard.
Position Overview:
• This is a sole Chef position requiring someone who is confident taking complete ownership of the galley, from menu planning and provisioning through to maintaining excellent organisation and hygiene standards.
• The Chef will need to be versatile and comfortable adapting menus to different preferences, ages, occasions, and styles of trip.
• The owners are active and spend a great deal of time diving, enjoying watersports, and exploring destinations, so fresh, varied, high-quality food that complements the lifestyle of the programme will be important.
Requirements:
• Candidates should have strong previous experience working as a sole Chef onboard private yachts, ideally within family-orientated programmes.
• Excellent provisioning and galley management skills, and the ability to cater confidently for both adults and children are essential.
• The yacht is looking for someone organised, adaptable, personable, and comfortable working independently whilst remaining an active and positive member of a small crew.
• Candidates must hold a valid Schengen visa or European passport for the current programme.
• The package includes up to 90 days’ annual leave, a 13th-month bonus, full medical cover, and worldwide flights for the right candidate.
