First Mate

We are seeking a professional First Mate for a Gunboat 68, cruising and racing on a dynamic, evolving program.
This is an active program combining performance sailing, cruising, and racing. The right candidate must be fit, healthy, proactive, and enthusiastic about watersports and life onboard. A hands-on attitude and willingness to assist in all areas of the boat’s operation are essential.
Requirements
Minimum RYA Yachtmaster Offshore (commercially endorsed preferred)
Proven experience on performance sailing yachts (multihulls preferred)
Strong understanding of hydraulics and/or marine electronics, ideally AEC1&2
B1/B2 visa in hand (required)
Positive attitude, team-oriented, and adaptable

Program & Timeline
Start date: Flexible
Mid-March: Panama
April: Florida / Bahamas
May: usa east coast
Summer: East Coast USA (New York, Maine – short race week + cruising)
Winter: Yard period (location TBC)
The current First Mate is available to remain onboard until the right candidate is appointed, ensuring a smooth handover.
Salary
Competitive, DOE.
