Bosun seeking for yacht

We are looking for a Bosun to join a beautiful 55mt Heesen. The position is also open to an experienced Lead Deckhand who is ready to progress into a Bosun role and take on greater responsibility within the deck department. ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES • Carry out all standard deck duties to a high professional standard. • Stand proven navigational watches independently and safely. • Support the First Officer and follow their operational and navigational direction. • Take responsibility for coordinating and managing a deck team of two Deckhands. • Maintain high standards of deck maintenance, cleanliness, safety and guest service. • Work closely with the First Officer and wider crew to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. • Take an active role in the preparation and organization of the deck department. • Be prepared for the Owner trip to join the vessel shortly. CANDIDATE PROFILE The ideal candidate will have: • Solid experience working as a Bosun, Lead Deckhand on yachts of similar size, • Proven ability to stand navigational watches independently. • Strong practical deck skills and a professional work ethic. • Good leadership, communication and organizational skills. • The confidence to coordinate and manage a small deck team. • Ideally, someone who is working towards their OOW ticket or has a clear progression towards OOW. • A positive, hands-on attitude and the ability to integrate quickly into an established team. • For an experienced Lead Deckhand looking to step up, we are particularly interested in candidates who are ready to progress into a Bosun position and take on increased responsibility.
