Second Officer sought for 67m private motor yacht

We are seeking a temporary Second Officer to join a 67m private, dual-season motor yacht, with the potential of being a permanent position for the right person.
Start Date: 1st November 2026, or earlier for the right candidate.
Salary: US$6,000 per month
Leave: 60 days per annum
Contract: Initial 3-month temporary position, with the possibility of permanent employment.
The applicant must be fluent in spoken English and hold either an EU or British passport.
Initially, this is very much a hands-on deck position involving leading and participating in daily deck operations, maintenance and guest preparations alongside three deckhands. An interest in dinghy sailing and experience helming large tenders / 12-metre chase boats would be advantageous.
The successful candidate must enjoy working outside, lead by example, demonstrate attention to detail and be actively involved in all aspects of running the exterior of the vessel.
Alongside these duties, comprehensive training will be provided in the Chief Officer’s responsibilities with the objective to develop a competent and confident bridge officer capable of covering the Chief Officer’s responsibilities during periods of leave.
This position would particularly suit someone who has already completed their OOW modules and qualifying sea time but wants time to prepare for their oral examination and gain more exposure to the chief officer’s role.
