Vessel Details:
• An 85m+ private motor yacht is currently seeking an experienced Temporary Crew Chef to join the vessel in the Med for the month of September!
• The yacht carries a large crew, with the Crew Chef working as part of a three-person galley team in a fantastic modern galley with access to an extensive range of fresh, high-quality produce.
• This is a great short-term opportunity for an experienced Crew Chef who is comfortable catering for a large crew and can step confidently into an established galley operation.
Position Overview:
• The successful candidate will take responsibility for daily crew catering, preparing lunch and dinner for approximately 31 crew members.
• With a large and diverse crew onboard, the Chef will need to provide plenty of variety whilst consistently producing nutritious, enjoyable and well-balanced meals.
• Although busy, the operation is well structured and would suit someone organised and efficient who is comfortable managing their own workload whilst working as part of the wider galley team.
• Responsibilities will also include maintaining excellent cleanliness, organisation and hygiene standards throughout the crew galley and associated work areas.
Requirements:
• Candidates should have previous experience working as a Crew Chef onboard larger yachts and be confident catering for approximately 30+ crew.
• Strong organisation, time management and menu-planning skills are essential, together with the ability to consistently provide varied meals throughout the contract.
• You must hold a valid Schengen visa/European passport in hand for this role.
• You must be available for the full month of September.
• Start date: end of August (TBC for exact date).
