Vessel Details:
• A 30m private motor yacht is seeking an experienced Captain, applying as a couple with a Chief Stewardess, to join in the Med ASAP.
• This is a purely private family programme with plenty of owner use, balancing busy family trips with quieter periods onboard.
• Currently in Gibraltar, the yacht will attend the Cannes Yachting Festival before heading to Greece. She will remain Med-based until October 2027, before being shipped to the USA for a three-year Bahamas programme.
• The owners are a large, active family with diving, water sports and time on the water forming a major part of the programme.
Position Overview:
• This is a hands-on Captain’s role, with the deck department consisting of the Captain and one Deckhand. Candidates must be equally comfortable with navigation and command responsibilities as they are getting involved on deck.
• The yacht carries 30ft and 20ft tenders, alongside extensive water-sports and dive equipment. Strong tender handling and water-sports experience are highly valued, with diving experience a particular advantage.
• The owners are seeking someone mature, practical and career-focused who can build a trusted long-term relationship with the family.
Requirements:
• Previous command experience onboard similar private yachts is highly desirable.
• Strong navigation, tender handling, operational and crew management experience required.
• Valid Schengen visa or European passport required.
• Package includes up to 90 days’ annual leave, 13th-month bonus, full medical cover and worldwide flights.
