Seven Seas Recruitment is currently recruiting for the following position:
• Title: MATE for a 77FT private and charter sailing catamaran.
• Employment Type: Permanent.
• Salary: TBC with Captain.
• Location: Croatia.
Vessel Details:
• A 77ft Lagoon sailing catamaran is currently seeking a Mate & Stewardess couple to join the vessel from approximately 6th June.
• The yacht will spend 2026 cruising Croatia before heading to the British Virgin Islands in early 2027, followed by the Galápagos Islands and then an extended period cruising French Polynesia, including Tahiti.
• This is an exceptional opportunity for someone seeking genuine adventure and world cruising experience onboard a private sailing program.
Role Overview:
• This position would suit a capable and hands-on Mate who enjoys being actively involved in all aspects of vessel operations.
• The successful candidate will work closely alongside the Captain with navigation, passage planning, deck operations, tender driving, safety procedures, and general maintenance.
• Given the yacht’s ambitious itinerary, the role is ideally suited to someone who enjoys longer passages, remote destinations, and the variety that comes with a world-cruising sailing program.
Requirements:
• Candidates should have previous sailing yacht experience and be confident operating within a smaller crew environment where flexibility and teamwork are essential.
• Strong deck knowledge, practical problem-solving skills, and a positive attitude are important qualities for this role.
• Couples are preferred for this role.
• The package offers a strong salary per month alongside two months paid leave per year.
• You must hold a valid Schengen visa/European passport in hand.
• Start date: Approximately 6th June.
